I retasted the 2019 Pegaso Arrebatacapas that didn't show well last year. It was produced with Garnacha from brown slate soils from Cebreros at 1,000 meters above sea level. It fermented in oak, stainless steel vats and clay pots with indigenous yeasts and matured in 500- and 600-liter French oak barrels for 18 months. 2019 was a very warm year, when the grapes ripened quite quickly, achieving lower alcohol (14.5%) than the 2020 I tasted next to it, yet there is a sensation of higher ripeness here, and there's a gentler mouthfeel; the wine is rounder and balanced. 1,503 bottles were filled in May 2021.
