ギブストンから20キロほどの地だが、バノックバーンは気候も異なりワインの個性にも著しい差がある。土壌はより砂が多いが、土壌より気候の違いがワインの個性に影響している。比較的気温が高く、ワインもそれを反映して、より色が濃く熟したチェリーの香りや、より濃厚で力強く、甘いとさえ感じるような触感をもたらす。ギブストンのワインの寿命の長さが酸に起因するのに対し、バノックバーンはタンニンのストラクチャーにある。

Medium to full-bodied, with ample concentration, richly textural tannins and a long, plush finish, it's already approachable and should drink well for at least another 5-7 years.
